TIger Beat
asked the ever-incredible Howie D. to give us a preview of Backstreet Boys'
new CD (due out November 21). Here's what he especially wnated you to know!
Sounds Like? The material
is a little edgier than Millennium," says Howie. "We have a couple songs
with a hip-hop sound. The majority - we've got seven songs that have a
'Don't Want You Back' feeling, to the next level. We have one song that
has a marching beat - BOOM BOOM BOOM. It's a song called 'The Call.' The
Call is about a guy trying to be a player. He's made a call to his girlfriend
saying, "I'm going with my friends,' and actually, he's out with someone
else. We've got a song called 'Get Another Boyfriend' about telling the
girl to get another boyfriend because her man is not good enough for her.
We also have some great ballads.
Special
Guests? Right now,
we're working on doing a collobration with Micheal Jackson. It's not official
yet - we did the song already, we recorded the whole thing in case Micheal
can't do it. The song is called 'No, No, Uh, Uh.'
BSB Tour
Plans? We actually
just had a meeting last week. We're trying to plot out a tour schedule
for next year. We're going to try to start up the last week of January,
probably do America, and split that up into two different legs. Hit America
first for a month or two, then Southeast Asia, Europe, back to America,
and South America. We've been to Chile and Argentina concert wise, and
I've been there on behalf of the group, promotion wise, in Brazil and Mexico,
but it'll be our first time doing a South American tour.
Personal
Projects? I'm part owner
of a club called Tabu. I did the grand opening night - since Bruce Willis
and all these people do it for Planet Hollywood, I thought why not have
a grand opening myself? I put together a salsa band. The club is an old
theater. It's where Pollyanna and I did our first musical when I was six
- The Wizard of Oz. It was called the Beecham Theater, and there's so much
history there.
