US singer Anastacia
has exclusively revealed to worldpop that she's planning to record a duet
with AJ from Backstreet Boys at some point in the future. AJ is a big fan
of the dance diva and has admitted in the past, to worldpop, that he fancies
her. Now he's taken things a step further by asking her to work with him
on a track.
'It's definitely
a possibility and something that I'd love to do,' said Anastacia who had
a Top 10 hit this year with I'm Outta Love. 'We have spoken about it and
I'm hoping to meet up with AJ again soon to talk seriously about it. It's
just time that's been keeping us apart. I'm sure it's going to happen,
I'm just not sure when.'
But don't expect
a pumping Backstreet's Back style number from the duo, because AJ and Anastacia
are planning to go for something a little more low key. 'I'd either like
to do a ballad or something mid-tempo,' revealed the Nic All Saint lookalike
whose new single Not That Kind is out in January. 'If it's a ballad I'd
like it to be really heart wrenching, and if it's mid-tempo I'd like it
to be something with attitude. We wouldn't do a cover, we'd definitely
write something. Or if we get offered a great song, then we may do that
instead. I guess we'll have to see what destiny brings us.'
