The Backstreet
Boys will release their third studio album, "Black & Blue," Nov. 21
in North America and a day earlier internationally on Jive. First single
"Shape Of My Heart" is set to hit radio next week, and will be augmented
with a video directed by Matthew Rolston (Madonna, Jewel). A world tour
is slated to begin in early 2001.
"Black &
Blue" is the follow-up to the group's 1999 "Millennium" album, which peaked
at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and is at No. 70 on the chart this week.
The set has spawned four top-30 Hot 100 singles, including the No. 6 hits
"Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely" and "I Want It That Way."
Last month,
the Backstreet Boys' online alter egos, the Cyber Crusaders, debuted in
22 online cartoons created by pioneering Marvel Comics artist Stan Lee's
Stan Lee Media. Comic books featuring the same characters debuted earlier
this year.
